World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades boost an item's main stats and provide additional benefits based on the type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is among the key things that keeps Link protected from damage in all situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in different ways to enhance its defense capabilities.
The principle of armour is to safeguard the person or animal from physical harm or injury whether from physical assault or from various environmental and activity hazards. In the past, most armour was made of fabrics or leather, however metal protections were also employed particularly for military purposes such as heavy cavalry and combat drones.
Like weapons there are a myriad of ways in which armour can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades and more will provide higher levels of protection, and requiring a higher cost in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.

The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been installed, they cannot be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. You should only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have all the components needed to complete them.
For those who want to acquire the necessary upgrade components, you'll find them all over Hyrule including shrines, shops, and even enemies. They are usually marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol and will be available in large quantities as you move through the game. While they may appear randomly, there is an opportunity that obtaining certain upgrade components will lead to a quest that will reward you with more.
item upgrades to note that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may differ, it will always be greater than nothing. This is due to the fact that a full set of upgraded armour will grant you a high defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons
If you'd like to make your guns distinctive, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats to cater to your specific build and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll need to have an upgrade component available and the item itself. The weapon should be at least a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons can only accept a single upgrade.
There are weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and from enemies and can be purchased from vendors. Upgrade components are a mixture of ingredients that you are able to incorporate into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and other items in order to gain an attribute bonus. The equipment must be a certain level to accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open world, bought from certain vendors, or obtained from combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then, upgrade the items that you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're planning to play an asymmetrical build, for example upgrade your weapon first, then your chest and shoulders, then your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your playstyle, some procs will be more useful than others. Similar is the case for Armour Reforges, with certain types being superior to others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item at one time. If an upgrade project is cancelled, any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but can provide other benefits.
A magical item is any item with special properties or effects. These are typically weapons, but they can also be armors, shields and cloaks, as well as potions. They could also be rings, scrolls or other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
The majority of magic items have their abilities enhanced. This makes them more useful to players or aid them overcome a difficult encounter. Infused weapons can offer bonuses to damage against a particular kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly beneficial for characters that have reached a level where they will likely face the same kind of monster in dungeons over and over again.
A ring with an infusion could grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damages from nonmagical attacks (not including silver-plated ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is especially beneficial for melee fighters or anyone who wishes to avoid the hassle and expense of buying a shield.
Certain objects with enchanted properties have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that aren't on their class list. This can be useful for characters that have difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted items typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling an array of tables determined by the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other enchanted objects might permit the character's appearance to be changed or create a brand new one. These items are particularly useful for characters who have been forced to leave their home or in a place that they might not be welcome. A magical item may grant them invisibility or make them invisible for anyone, excluding the person they choose to.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that don't fall into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons and have various capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor and Clothing, no utility item will be in conflict with the other. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that the player can activate when using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or activating an ability.
The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It lights up the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Many utility items can be instantly manufactured in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can also obtain the most useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded for greater effectiveness.
The majority of utility items boost an individual combat ability or give the player some kind of navigation advantage. For instance, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman boost the concentration and healing power. Other utility items can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering research or other projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This permits the player to utilize an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade is kept in the main slot.
